Open Eyes, Inc. is a mission-driven organization dedicated to empowering current and formerly incarcerated youth—or those impacted by the juvenile justice system—to become positive, productive citizens in their communities. We provide mentorship, education, and mindset development centered on what we call the “Millionaire Mindset”: a way of thinking that emphasizes resilience, responsibility, discipline, leadership, and personal growth. We envision a society where every juvenile—regardless of their background—has access to the knowledge, tools, and opportunities needed for personal and professional success. Through real-world training, community support, and purpose-driven programs, we open eyes to new paths, brighter futures, and lasting change.
SAMUEL BENFORD
Founder and Executive Director
Samuel Benford’s journey reflects resilience and determination. Growing up amidst poverty and substance abuse, he chose a path toward a brighter future.
After serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and South Korea, Samuel returned home with a renewed focus on success. Through hard work, reading, and attending seminars, he developed the skills necessary to thrive in business, enriched by his faith.
Now a successful philanthropist and entrepreneur, Samuel is committed to giving back. He shares his knowledge and experiences to empower at-risk youth, helping them realize their potential and achieve their dreams.
OPEN EYES, INC
The organization dedicated to empowering adolescents, particularly juvenile ex-offenders, as they transition back into society. Founded to inspire youth and young adults to recognize that hard work and determination can unlock unlimited opportunities, we became a nonprofit in February 2014 and received our 501(c)(3) designation in July 2014. Based in Fort Wayne, we are committed to making a positive impact on at-risk youth in our community.
